This image was inspired by my mother's experience with plaque psoriasis and how I imagined this physical ailment was a manifestation of real life stressors but also internal mindset, which is why the culebra has the same markings as the woman. In real life, when I was child, my mother told me her skin ailment was the result of a snake biting her in the park while she watched me play.
